The castle of the Counts of Eberstein was built in the 13th century and was converted into a Renaissance castle in the 16th century. It was subsequently destroyed several times and is now owned by the Kraichtal municipality.

There is a museum in the castle, which houses the world's largest iron exhibition, among other things.

Very nice castle complex, but it takes a little effort to get there.

The place itself doesn't give much. You would also have to drive uphill there. But the view from the bike path in the valley up to the castle is fantastic.

A great backdrop on the slope, definitely enhances Gochsheim
