Today we did a hike in the Odenwald between Schwanheim and Lindach.Starting point in Schwanheim cemetery parking lot.
First we went through Schwanheim into the forest to the little chapel Kirchel. Then it went on the forest highways to the jungle path. Through the jungle path we reached the Stolzeneck castle ruins. The castle ruins are closed due to the risk of falling rocks. You can still take a break there. At the castle ruin we probably enter the most beautiful section of the Neckarsteig and continue on the climb, including the alpine hiking section. Then we reached the heron lake with its water lilies. After the lake we continued to Schwanheim without any noteworthy increases.Sights: Kirchel, jungle path, Stolzeneck castle ruins, Neckarsteig, Reihersee.

On Vattertag I did this hiking tour with my brother. I saved the tour from Wolfgang, "Como meeting for the intrepid". Many thanks to Wolfgang.
What we did differently was to reverse direction, circle Mummelsee and walk down to the Wild Lake.
There are numerous highlights, e.g. Hornisgrinde, Mummelsee, Wilder See, Karlsruher Grat, Edelfrauengrab waterfalls.
