The very beautiful Evangelical-Lutheran village church in Behlendorf is an early Gothic fieldstone church in Behlendorf.

The founding of the single-nave fieldstone church in Behlendorf is not documented. Its origins are dated to the mid-13th century. The church tower was built in 1893; previously the church had a wooden bell tower from 1660.

The church consists of a nave of two bays and a recessed box choir. The sacristy on the north side is also from the early Gothic period. The porch on the south side of the church was added later. Inside, the bays of the nave and the choir have ribbed vaults. There is a gallery to the west. Some paintings of the church from the time when it was built have been preserved.

The baroque altarpiece and the pulpit in the late Renaissance style were donated to the church in 1635 by Katharina Brosius née Warendorp, the widow of the Behlendorf court tenant Bernhard Brosius. They bear the coats of arms of both families. The donor family is shown with their three children on the altarpiece. The first baptismal font made of Gotland limestone has been in the possession of the St. Annen Museum in Lübeck since the 19th century.

The church windows bear 39 coats of arms in stained glass, mostly the coats of arms of the Lübeck council families from 1603, an indication that Behlendorf belonged to the Hanseatic city as an exclave from 1428 to 1937. There are also pastor pictures and epitaphs in the church. The decorated bell was cast by Wittwerck in Gdańsk in 1733.
