Animals. Mammals include the fox (Vulpes vulpes), the weasel (Mustela nivalis), the wild rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), the large horseshoe (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum), the hedgehog (Erinaceus europeaus) and the small horseshoe (Rhinolophus hipposideros).

Reptiles include the terrestrial lizard (Podarcis siculus), the gecko (Tarentola mauritanica), the Sicilian lizard (Podarcis waglerianus), the black snake (Hierophis carbonarius), the collared natrice (Natrix helvetica), the red-eyed saettone (Zamenis lineatus) and the gongilo (Chalcides ocellatus) and there are also 40 different species of birds.
