Hermann Löns (born August 29, 1866 in Culm, West Prussia; died September 26, 1914 near Loivre near Reims, France) was a German journalist and writer. Even during his lifetime, Löns, whose ideal landscape was the heath, became known as a hunter, poet of nature and local history, as well as a natural researcher and protector of myth and as a "heath poet".
