The church and cemetery of Blaasveld together tell the story of five centuries of burials in the village.
The vast majority of the gravestones in the cemetery date from the interbellum and the post-war period. The cemetery illustrates the complete evolution of materials (bluestone, white marble, slate, sandstone and granite), grave types (steles and tombstones with steles), styles (art deco and modernism) and decoration from that period. The large share of high-quality sculpture on the gravestones is remarkable (for example Frans Desmet +1933, Jan Bernaerts +1961, Leontine Bernarts +1961).

      Saint-Amandus church...
Oriented neo-Gothic church with older choir surrounded by a hedged churchyard. The parish of Blaasveld probably originated at the end of the 12th century as a dependency of Heffen. An independent place of worship was founded in 1323 by Rudolf Pipenoy, lord of Blaasveld. During the religious troubles, hit by floods and destroyed by the Geuzen (1580), the church was rebuilt in 1631 by Baron Cosmas de Prant and Margaretha de Hornes. During the renovation of the church (1864-1868) to a design by J. Schadde, only the choir from the 17th and 18th centuries was integrated into the extension. Heavily damaged in 1914 during the battles for Fort Breendonk, the church was reconstructed in 1922 according to the 19th-century appearance to a design by E. Careels
