The Hübner brewery family, who came to Mosbach in 1878, quickly established themselves as an influential family in the town during the "Gründerzeit" period. From 1900 to 1902, the beer brewer and company founder Heinrich Hübner had his residential building built in a prominent location in the historicist style with a view of the town.
