It's interesting how times have changed. We have already been here in 1991 and watched the goings-on. Railway traffic was predominant. Whole express and freight trains were loaded onto the ferries. At that time they used the "Vogelfluglinie", the fastest connection to Scandinavia. The construction of the Øresund Bridge made this connection meaningless. Until a few years ago there was still a connection with the diesel ICE of the DB or the express railcar of the DSB. In the meantime, no trains are being crossed at all.
