Kæfufoss is the ninth waterfall located on the lower reaches of the Skógá River. It is a beautiful waterfall located just upstream and around the corner from the impressive Skálabrekkufoss. Kæfufoss falls 46 feet (about 14 meters) over a wide shelf in a quasi-funnel shape, as the river encounters two ridges at perpendicular angles, forming a distinct V-shape in its first dip, then along the bedrock at the bottom of the waterfall slides.
