The St. Vincent Church, built around 1345, has been a listed building since 1983. The predecessor of this Gothic hall church, which stood on the same site, was plundered and severely damaged during a raid by the Counts von der Mark and Arnsberg. One of the oldest parts of this Gothic hall church is the mighty west tower, which essentially dates back to the 14th century and also served as a defense tower. In the years 1868 to 1871 the church was expanded and the spire was significantly increased. It is said that the increase was made because the tower of the Catholic Church in Mendens had to be higher than the tower of the recently completed Evangelical Church of the Holy Spirit.
