The listed St. Leonhard Church is used jointly by the Protestant parish of Ippesheim and the Catholic pastoral area of Dreifrankenland in the Steigerwald region. The chancel tower (now housing a bell tower and clock) originally dates from the 13th century. The nave was added to it to the west in the 14th century. The church is surrounded by a late medieval fortified church complex. Stone cellars for storing provisions were built against the walls; these were covered with timber-framed outbuildings in the 17th and 18th centuries.
