Hiking
The St. Martin's Church of Kessenich has a church tower that dates back to the fourteenth century and is located right across the hill from the old castle. The church tower was built in marlstone and is an example of early Maas Gothic. The church and the surrounding center are currently being taken care of. Originally a Romanesque church stood here, on the domain of the castle of Kessenich, in the twelfth century.
