      Corno Baitone occupies the north-western sector of the Adamello Group, forming a real group of which it is the central pillar and the highest peak. The imposing NW flank, shared with the Cima dei Laghi Gelati and the Baitone Rock, is partly covered by glaciers, even if the only one still of moderate size is that of Aviolo. The S side, where the normal route passes, is rocky and the small glacier that occupied the basin below the S wall has now been extinct for several years.
