The much-noticed Daun citizenship project "Philosophers for the Philosophers' Path" consists of disused tombstones with quotes from well-known philosophers along the forest and hiking trail over the Wehrbüsch near Daun.
The project was initiated by Franziskus Wendels.
The Philosophenweg is a forest path on the edge of Daun. In a length of about two kilometers, it leads as a circular route around the "Wehrbüsch", a densely wooded hill. The Wehrbüsch Chapel, a war memorial as well as basalt rocks and wonderful viewpoints are along this path.translated by
