The area is dominated to the north by the massif of Mount Pore (2,405 m), but the highest altitudes are found on the rear of the Nuvolau group which culminates in Averau (2,647 m).
The eastern half of the Giau pass, the pass that allows connections between the Agordino and Ampezzano areas, also falls within the municipality.
