The Zeitfeld is an art installation from the time of the Federal Garden Show in Düsseldorf in 1986. There are 24 station clocks on pillars and symbolize the transience of time.
Over the years, one clock after another failed, resulting in different times at which each clock stopped. In the meantime, however, the clocks have all been started again and synchronized. You can ask Klaus Rinke yourself whether this corresponded to the artist's original intention.
