The watermill on the Mene in Hoksem is a turbine mill, restored and by the current owners.
The first mention of a watermill dates from 1340. At that time it was a percussion or oil mill. In the 17th century the mill was a grain mill with a water wheel and two stone couples. The mill was then owned by the chapter of Hoksem. A miller was active there until 1981. After that the mill fell into disrepair until the current residents made plans to restore the mill.
