There used to be a Roman villa with a bathhouse on the archaeological site of Mellenberg. The remains of it were already discovered in 1981, but the site has been protected since 2022.
The lands were taken from agriculture and kept under permanent lawn. A landmark makes passers-by aware of the past. It is an artful reference to the hypocaust, the typical Roman floor and wall heating system traces of which were found. On the base of the artwork you will find references to other Roman traces in the wider area.
