On September 5th, 1792, a strong tornado hit Lake Crivitz, sucked large amounts of water and fish out of the water and let it rain down over the city. A phenomenon that has only rarely happened worldwide and that is remembered in different ways in the cityscape.
On the one hand through the Fischregen sculpture on the Crivitzer lake promenade, on the other hand through handmade precious metal fish, which you can buy and have attached to the sidewalk in front of your own house or on your own house wall.
The artistically forged unique pieces are made by the blacksmith Heiko Voss from Groß Niendorf, who also created the Fischregen sculpture.
