A beautiful, secluded forester's house in the heath.
The Sellhorn Forestry Office in Lower Saxony manages around 13,000 hectares of forest and 700 hectares of agricultural land. In addition, the forest office looks after 520 hectares of cooperative forests. The forest area corresponds to 140 million square meters. The forests are located in the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve, in the Harburg Mountains natural area and in the vicinity of Lüneburg.

The Forsthaus Sellnor is located east of the Totengrund in the middle of the Friedwald. It is a forestry office that is closely associated with nature conservation. For example, they did not repair the storm damage in 2017 with harvester but with backhorses (to protect the forest floor).
