This small but beautiful wooden walkway does not lead you through, but across the Lüneburg Heath. With oncoming traffic or pedestrians, consideration is required. If leaves are on it and they are still wet, it can become slippery.

A wooden footbridge leads directly through the small bog after you come down the stone basic trail. Don't fall into the bog! ;)

In the shelter and on the benches on the Hermann-Löns-Weg near the Sellhorn Forestry Office, you can take a short rest before you set out on the very beautiful, but also strenuous tour through the Totengrund. The wooden walkway is not very long and can be slippery when wet - like all wooden walkways - so please be careful. After the boardwalk, you go uphill over tree roots and stones to the fantastic view of the Totengrund. A good MTB trail that is fun.
