Modern chapel whose facade visible from the Col de la Schlucht consists of a large transparent triangular bay window without stained glass, and which is bordered by a fine campanile and surmounted by a cross.

The construction dates from 1959-1960 and the project managers are the architect Dominique-Alexandre Louis who designs the building, and Maurice Balland, from Gérardmer who ensures the execution

The chapel is built on a granite base at a place called "the thatch of old Monthabeux".
The first stone was laid on 9/07/1959. It was built to replace the small chapel erected in 1936 by the Kiesgen family, owner of the Hôtel du Chalet, a chapel that was damaged in 19444.

The set includes on the lower level a small presbytery composed of a hall, a dwelling and a boiler room.
On the upper level, the access of the faithful is through two drums, one to the east, the other to the west, "for the use of one or the other depending on the winds of the day".
The two-sided roof comes to rest on each side of the altar at the level of the interior ground.
