A house of prayer with a turbulent history. Only the church tower has won the battle with the water over the centuries.
Historical indication:
During the storm tides around 1530, only the church tower of this church remained standing. In 1684 the construction of the new church started, with the old church serving as a basis. The tower was reclad; the nave was completely rebuilt in 1686. In 1754 the church and tower were renovated. The main entrance, with a frame of late Gothic form, is located in the east wall that was built at the time. During a restoration in 1858, the current round arch windows were installed. The interior of the church was completely restored after the flood in 1955. The pulpit from 1625 is the biggest eye-catcher. The organ was built in 1905.
