    Over large parts of the shore area, the Bockwitzer See, an essential part of the "post-mining landscape of the Bockwitz opencast mine", eludes the visitor's view. To prevent the risk of erosion, the hillside areas are densely overgrown and access is restricted or even closed. From the place marked here you have the only notable view of the lake in the entire southern and eastern area. But the view makes up for it - it's really nice.
