Tips
Mostly manageable traffic volume. The route is almost meditative, very pleasant to drive. If you are attentive, you will occasionally see fruit trees (including those outside of town) along the way. Mostly apple or cherry trees, but also a few pear trees, between Schmidmühlen and Amberg. From mid-August you can be lucky with apples and pears. The cherries are ready sooner.
