You walk or drive directly past the Lechfall at the Schwansee kiosk through the forest and end up at the lake after approx. From there you can see the two castles very much. The yellow one, which the father built and that of Ludwig II - Neuschwanstein and because so few people want to walk/drive you are often almost alone.

The way up is really steep. The descent to the lake by bike is on gravel and steep.
