The Goldene Gans is a beer garden on the Old Main Bridge directly on the Main bank (Leonhard-Frank-Promenade) near the lock. In addition, the Goldene Gans is also a Würzburg brewery, whose beer is served in the Braupub festival hall and since 2010 also in the beer garden. The beer garden offers space for 250 people and was opened on July 1, 2010. For children, there is a small playground with a trampoline next to the beer garden.
Beer: A special feature is that the beer (light, dark, wheat) comes from the inn's own Goldene Gans. In the past there were new creations of beer specialties. At the beer garden opening in early May, for example, there is a Maibock. Groups also have the option of ordering a small wooden beer keg to be served at the table. The light beer is drunk most often, the beer output in 2010 was 800 hectoliters. In 2013, the range was expanded to include a beer brewed according to the Pilsener brewing method, which is called Goldene Gans Pils.
In good weather, the beer garden is open either from 11 a.m. or from 5 p.m. A table on the homepage of the beer garden announces the respective opening times day by day. Serving until 10.30 p.m.
Hot meals are available continuously until 10 p.m.
