      Rosenthal-Bielatal

      Climbing paradise in the forest

Idyllic holiday resort in the middle of a hiking and climbing paradise, surrounded by extensive forests and bizarre rock formations.

The towns of Bielatal and Rosenthal are located in the middle of a huge forest area that stretches as far as the Czech Republic. The upper Bielatal in particular is characterized by its own unique character, which is most clearly visible between Schweizer- and Ottomühle. Here, in the middle of the forest, the hiker's eye is presented with a multitude of rock towers in the most fantastic weathered forms.

The Sachsenstein, the Hercules Columns, the Johanniswacht and the Kanzelturm are also unique natural monuments that give only an idea of the once raging forces of nature. Three larger caves also bear witness to this: the Bennohöhle, the Eisloch and the 19-meter-deep Schwedenloch with its ice pit behind the Ottomühle.

In the Brausenstein district, the ruins of a blast furnace from the former hammer mill have been preserved as a monument to a venerable workplace from the past. In Bielatal, a tour through the rugged rock labyrinth is particularly attractive to young visitors.
