The Erbdrostenhof is one of the jewels in the beautiful cityscape of Münster. Together with the Dominican Church and the Clemens Church, it forms the “Baroque island” in Münster's city center. The Münster City Museum is directly opposite.

The Erbdrostenhof is a baroque aristocratic palace. . It was built according to plans by Johann Conrad Schlaun for the Münster hereditary Drosten Adolf Heidenreich, Baron Droste zu Vischering, from 1753 to 1757.
