The Allmannshauser Filz is a former high moor that has been renatured since the 1980s with residual moor areas and a predominantly pine-spruce-birch forest with distinctive herbaceous vegetation. It is located on the southern district border between Allmannshausen and Weipertshausen. It is bordered by the Lüssbach on the south-western edge, in the core of the area there is an old peat cutting with the remains of a high moor, the area is surrounded by typical moor pine and birch forests and, in part, mixed spruce and pine forest.
