The Hohrainbuckhütte is a spacious rest hut. On the meadow in front of it there are more rest areas as a combination of tables and benches. There are wonderful views back to the Kaiserstuhl heights around the Vogelsang Pass, in particular to the Eichelspitze with its observation tower, as well as to the numerous towns in Breisgau and the Freiburg Bay and to Freiburg itself and the mountains of the Upper Black Forest. A commemorative plaque on a rock commemorates the great reorganization of the Hohrainbuck vineyards. It goes or drives down to Bötzingen on many curved paths. On the way there are many other beautiful views. In the opposite direction, paths lead up to the Vogelsangpass and from there, for example, down the Hundskehlenweg to the Liliental with impressive orchids. Via Gagenhart and Böselsberg you reach the village of Wasenweiler.
