Wonderful view of Freiburg and the Black Forest. Parts of the Markgräflerland and the Rhine can also be seen in good weather.

On the Neunlinden summit (555 m), the second twin of the summit pair Neunlinden-Totenkopf, there is a lookout tower, which was built in 1900 by the section Ihringen of the Black Forest Association.

Wonderful highlight of the Great Kaiserstuhl Tour!
The Neulindenberg is the highest accessible elevation that you can climb on the Kaiserstuhl. Once at the summit, it is worthwhile to let your thighs burn briefly up the stairs to the Neunlinden tower. You will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the Black Forest, Kaiserstuhl and the Vosges.

Nice lookout tower, ideal for a rest. When the weather is nice, it can get very busy here.

Very nice hiking destination in all seasons. Ascent is a bit difficult / steep. In May there is a wine tasting right under the tower. Great view over the Breisgau to the Rheineben

Wonderful vision. Especially on a clear day a very wide view towards Switzerland and France. Great to take a break but rather below the tower. It is relatively tight on the tower and is now recommended with Corona with a mask. Please pay attention to the trapdoor at the top. It is beautifully foggy in the valley, especially in the early hours. It is also worth going up the tower twice a day, as the picture changes sensually from morning to night.

At the latest since 1333 there was a Pauline monastery here, which was abandoned around 1525. In 1900 this lookout tower was built here on the Neunlinden-Totenkopf summit by the Badischer Schwarzwaldverein. And yes, the view is fantastic!

After the steep ascent, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the vineyards and the surrounding area. Beware, if it rained it could be quite slippery! If you're lucky, you might get one of the picnic tables under the tower. Here is the highest point of the Kaiserstuhl at 557 m.

The Neunlindenturm stands on the Totenkopf, the highest mountain in the Kaiserstuhl. The tower is 14m high and offers a great view of the Kaiserstuhl, the Black Forest, the Vosges and the Rhine plain.
