The observation tower is easy to reach from the Vogelsang Pass above Bötzingen.

Exactly 140 steps are leading up to it. Each individual has been sold for charity and carries a shield with the name of the godfather.

He has 140 steps. The steps were sold to patrons whose names are attached to the steps.

Great lookout tower on the Eichelspitze. The platform is at a height of 28 m and offers a much better view than the nine-linden tower on the skull.

from the tower we enjoy a wonderful view in all directions, next to the tower are the remains of Bruderhäusl.

The Eichelspitzturm is a 42.5 meter high observation tower, which was built jointly by the mobile operator O2, the neighboring communities Eichstetten, Bötzingen, Bahlingen and Vogtsburg im Kaiserstuhl, the association "Eichelspitzturm e.V.", and the state of Baden-Württemberg in 2006. The tower is named after the Eichelspitze, the second highest elevation of the Kaiserstuhl.

From the viewing platform at a height of 28 meters you have a comprehensive view of the Black Forest, the Vosges and the Kaiserstuhl itself. [1] The tower can be reached from Eichstetten via the Geo-Path, a nature trail that deals with the types of rock in the Kaiserstuhl. [2]

A surveying scaffold originally stood here. This was replaced in 2001 by a temporary tower with a viewing platform at a height of 27 m. This was very well received by hikers, so that the idea for the Eichelspitzturm came up and was implemented. [1]

Nice view of the Vosges and the Black Forest. There is still snow on the north side of the Feldberg. The tower is open despite Corona.

Beautiful observation tower on the Eichelspitze. Nice view! It's worth climbing. Some seating at the foot of the tower.
