SteverLandRoute: Stepping Stones and Picnic Area

This section of the trail is part of the SteverLandRoute. With great effort, a comprehensive catalog of measures has been implemented here in recent years: weirs, concrete barrages and piping have been removed and the banks and the riverbed have been made more natural again. This use is already having an effect today, the water quality in the small Stever has already improved significantly.The SteverLandRoute is the family bike path in the Münsterland: Here, information boards for adults and information boards especially for children (!) provide information about the great project. There are a total of 14 hands-on stations along the route. If you like, you can use the children's discovery card to travel from station to station, collect coin impressions and become a Stever expert. Have a look at our collection :)

Great and easy to cycle section of the SteverLandRoute between Sending and Appelhüllen. The often narrow, unpaved path meanders idyllically along the Stever.

The Steverland cycle path begins near Nottuln at the Steverquelle and goes to Haltern, where the Stever flows into the Lippe. Through the Stevertal in the Baumberge region, past the Schulze Westerad water mill, you go to Appelhülsen. From here to Senden the path follows the river beautifully. There are always stations set up along the way that deal with the Stever, some of which are hands-on stations. In Olfen there is the Füchtelner mill, which is worth seeing, and then the Hullerner and Haltern lakes follow. A worthwhile themed cycle path.
