This railway bridge over the Schipdonk Canal in Balgerhoeke from 1947 is a well-preserved example of a lifting bridge for railway traffic. The bridge was on the Eeklo-Maldegem-Bruges line. The bridge is still used by the historic trains of the Stoomtrein Maldegem-Eeklo association (the former Stoomcentrum Maldegem).
