The Tetrahedron is a walk-in viewing terrace in the form of a three-sided pyramid on the Beckstrasse heap in the Batenbrock district of Bottrop. Like other dumps in the Ruhr area, the tetrahedron is part of the industrial heritage route.
Due to the network of paths up to the tetrahedron, there is a suitable challenge for every cycling and running sport: asphalt for racing bikes, gravel for XC fans and also some trails for mountain bikers as well as the stairs for people who run for the Empire State Building train.
The view over the Ruhr area is gigantic when visibility is good. The design of the plateau is a bit reminiscent of a spaceship that has landed on the moon, so that one can rightly claim to have cycled to the moon.

The dump event Emscherblick, tetrahedron, is a built in the form of a three-sided pyramid and freely accessible observation tower on the Halde Beckstraße in Bottrop-Batenbrock. The steel structure with a side length of 60 m rests on four 9 m high concrete pillars and is located on the top of about 120 m above sea level. high heap on Beckstraße. [1] The heap has a prominence of about 90 meters to the ambient level. On a clear day you can see the landmark of the city of Bottrop from Essen main station.

The tetrahedron is easily accessible. At the foot of the heap ample parking is available, as the number of visitors is not particularly high. There is the possibility over Serpentienen to get up, or use a staircase.
The view from the highest platform is great, but not for people with vertigo, as the way up leads over lattice steps. Apart from that, the platforms swing a bit because they are attached to wire ropes.
