It's impressive what plants can produce.

In the middle of the forest is the Räuberkuhle Castle, also called Burg Gosevelde or Burg Goesfeld. A lost medieval tower hill castle (Motte). You can get to the castle via a forest path from the village of Häven. Here you can see the former tower hill, boulders and a moat, the castle Lagardère Hemmelsdorfer See. It is a moth with a diameter of 12-14 meters. The castle was first mentioned in a document in 1255. In the 12th and 13th centuries. the castle served the Holstein knights of Buchwaldt. Detlev von Buchwald and his brothers as well as Otto von Pafelügge endangered the country roads in the area. On February 5, 1255 they allied themselves with Count Johann I and Gerhard I von Holstein against Lübeckerü subsidies (support services). Currently The castle ruins are difficult to reach because some fallen trees lie across the access path

        Räuberkuhle Castle, Gosevelde
The former tower hill castle with the strange name stood on a small hill above a lake that has now been silted up. It was a multi-storey wooden tower from the 13th century, which is no longer preserved today. An information board and the cordoned off hill point to the former existence of a castle.
Gosevelde Castle, popularly known as Räuberkuhle, is located at the northeastern end of the former Hemmelsdorf Lake, which formed the small ridge on which Gosevelde once stood. The castle is located at the end of the range of hills on a kind of former headland that protruded into the lake. It is assumed that the weir system was protected by the now silted up lake and a still poorly recognizable section trench. In terms of size, it is said to have been a tower hill castle, i.e. a defense system consisting of a tower. This was probably made of wood, since apart from the boulders that served as the foundation, no other hewn stones have been found.
Today you come across an empty plateau that was fenced in to protect the last hidden foundations. The visitor still has the opportunity to completely circle the small hill and to visit the former location at heart. Here and there you can see boulders sticking out of the earth. They are very indecisive about each other and no longer allow conclusions to be drawn about a floor plan.
In terms of atmosphere, Gosevelde Castle is pleasant, if completely unspectacular. The lush surrounding area, shaped by nature, invites you to hike and enjoy. The castle grounds themselves can be explored quickly.
