The Theresienwiese in Munich is a fairground in the district of Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt. The Oktoberfest, which is considered the largest folk festival in the world, has taken place on the square every year since 1810. The 42-hectare special open space is bordered by the Bavariaring and Theresienhöhe and cut through from west to east by Matthias-Pschorr-Strasse, which is only accessible to pedestrians and cyclists, the end of which is the statue of Bavaria in the west and Esperantoplatz in the east.
