The Church of Sant'Elisabetta is a small church in Lecce , located on Via Libertini in the historic center of the city. In ancient times it was dedicated to Saint Andrew the Apostle and is also known as Chiesa Nova.

The church, formerly dedicated to Sant'Andrea, is also known as "Chiesa Nova or di Sant'Elisabetta". Its construction dates back to 1519 and was commissioned by the Lateran Canons , then it passed to the Mattei family, founders of Novoli and Palmariggi, then to the Pedio family and finally to the Galatian Francesco Micheli (former President of the Court of Lecce and Councilor of the Court of Cassation), whose wife, Matilde Scarciglia, donated it to the Archdiocese of Lecce. The church, entrusted to the Theatine Fathers in 1586, is now known as Sant'Elisabetta because for two centuries the Confraternity of the Visitation of Sant'Alisabetta held office there. Renovated in 2002.
