The mill was first mentioned in 1248 as "Vronemulle". Destroyed after a fire in 1725, it was rebuilt as the "Herrenmühle" in 1730. The mill operated until 1961. The renovation in 2012/2013 happened on the initiative of the local association "Denk Mal e. V." Further information at: denkmal-herrnmuehle.de
