Klaus Schleif usually lets the carillon ring five to six times a day, has just switched from the Christmas to the annual program, and entered six titles of his choice – in 2016 it will be played shortly after 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Among other things, Beatles melodies and "Für Elise" can be heard. Schleif has a pool of 30 melodies in total for this watch. He also has to maintain, clean and oil the twelve bells of the game. "It's like a clock tower in a church," says the advertising expert, "but the twelve bells can play a small concert." The clock in the bakery itself, on the other hand, is radio-controlled with its main clockwork and two slave clockworks – and is therefore quite uncomplicated in itself.
