In Hoffenheim there was a synagogue for about 60 believers until the night of the pogrom on November 9th and 10th, 1938. Since the synagogue was adjacent to other church buildings, it was gutted by the National Socialists (everything combustible was taken away and burned) and then torn down.
A stone commemorates the synagogue. The depiction was created based on memories of citizens.
