The Hounauwe Wijnbank is an initiative of Hounauwe Wijngaard VZW. One of the members got the idea for a giant sofa during a walk among the vineyards in the Moselle region. In 2021, two years after the idea, the permit was obtained and the file was financed. The bank was a fact in June 2022. It is located next to the oldest vineyard (of the late Jos Daems) on the Houwaarde Berg.
