The Michelblumel is a small, largely unknown crossing in the Lower Austrian Alpine foothills. It connects the almost unused state road L101 Annaberg (actually the districts of Sägemühle and Schmelz) with Kernhofer Gscheid.
The Salza rises near the highest point of the route on the north slope of the Hoher Ulreichsberg (1276 m). To the west, the Karnerbach flows in the direction of Ulreichsberg and as Rottenbach or Weiße Walster to the idyllically situated Hubertussee. North of the transition is the castle wall (1215 m), one of the peaks in the ridge of the Traisenberg (1230 m).
