The Reformed Orphanage is an elongated building that runs from the Lenculenstraat to the Jeker.
The orphanage was created in three phases and all three building blocks were built in line against the old city wall. The building block on the Jeker dates from the mid-17th century and the brick facades of this building section have remarkable round-arched windows, which are framed with marl blocks.
Between 1689 and 1692, the Protestant orphanage was established in these buildings.
In 1951, the drama school was housed in the former orphanage.
