On the Houschijne mountain you have a beautiful view of the surroundings from the huge wine bank. The 'resting bench' is 6 meters long and 2.5 m high. A staircase to get to it is therefore useful.

The Hounauwe Wijnbank is an initiative of Hounauwe Wijngaard VZW. One of the members got the idea for a giant sofa during a walk among the vineyards in the Moselle region. In 2021, two years after the idea, the permit was obtained and the file was financed. The bank was a fact in June 2022. It is located next to the oldest vineyard (of the late Jos Daems) on the Houwaarde Berg. The participating wine estates are listed on a beautiful information board at the bank and all this information - and more - can also be found at houwaardenewijngaard.wixsite.com/houwaarde-wijngaard/houwaarde-wijnbank
