In 1828, a large part of the Zoerselbos was purchased by Messrs. De Groter and De Cock, who immediately founded a company to exploit the forest. The demand for wood in mining was high at the time. This farm, which consists of the former stable house, long barn and a baking oven, was built for this purpose.
