Café Trappisten Westmalle

Here in the Cafè Trappist you can taste the beer that is brewed in the abbey opposite.
You have the choice between:
Westmalle Triple
First brewed in 1934, Westmalle Tripel is sometimes referred to as the "mother of all Tripel".

Westmalle Dubbel
The dark red-brown Westmalle Dubbel ferments in the bottle and tastes of malt and fruit.

Westmalle Extra
Westmalle The Trappists of Westmalle have been drinking extra with their lunch for a long time. It has a low alcohol content of only 4.8%.

Unfortunately, you cannot visit the Westmalle brewery to avoid disturbing the contemplation in the abbey. The Café Trappisten opposite the abbey shows a free video of the brewery, including in English.

Highly recommended as a starting and finishing place for a walk and bike ride. There is a lot of parking. While you are enjoying the delicious barley drink on the large terrace, the kids can enjoy themselves on the toys.
