The Promenade du Paillon is a large urban park in the heart of Nice. After an old bus station was demolished here, the city had a strolling mile built, which residents like to use. Wooden climbing frames and water features with fantastic fountains are particularly popular with children. Green areas and plenty of seating make for a lot of fun in the park.

In the park there is a monument to Marshal Masséna, a native of Nice. The statue was dedicated on August 15, 1868. The Marshal is accompanied by a victory depicting his name on the base and bas-reliefs depicting the battles of Zurich and Genês.
