The Riegel mill was first mentioned in 1583 as a flour and board mill. It got its name from a barrier with which the street could be "sealed off". In 1870/71 the mill received a Zuppinger water wheel and thus the most modern equipment at the time. Milling operations ceased in 1968. After that the mill was used as a feed mill for the local LPG. Since 1991 she has been working only for her own needs and has been restored for several years.

A building complex that is impressive from afar, right there is a nice rest area. You can hear the rushing of the mill race and shouldn't be afraid to look into the dark open windows, you'll see a mighty mill wheel... 👍🏻😇
